One of the most egregious examples of what I call “Group Think” is seen in Family Law, or Family Courts. This is something that is happening in all the developed countries of the world. Basically, what has happened is that the state has taken “possession” of children in all cases when the family comes before the court. With unilateral divorce (commonly called no-fault divorce) one party, overwhelmingly the mother, can simply destroy a family, and through what amounts to de facto mother custody, pretty much eliminate the father from the lives of his children. Not only that, but he will be subject to a draconian child support system that is one of the most intrusive government entitlement programs ever conceived.
