This must be (for a man) the most inspirational photo of all time. I found this picture on http://trompeteiro.blogspot.com/. I have no idea where he found it. I’ve thought a lot about this photo. Perhaps brother sister? Perhaps he’s very rich, she’s a prostitute? Perhaps she is actually a transvestite?

The purpose of 99Mind.com is to help anyone who happens by to examine their own mind, the nature of consciousness itself, which includes how we categorize and make judgments about what we call reality. That’s what makes this image so interesting, because it definitely hits a guy. It jars one’s sense of normal reality. Yes, it is silly. But this actually is quite serious. Why react in a given way to what this image portrays?

Another possibility is that the photographer simply set this up artificially, in other words, simply found a big guy, found a slim hotty in a thong, and convinced (or even paid) them to walk hand in hand away from the camera for the shot.

I brought my crazy next door neighbor in on this and we brainstormed some additional explanations:

1. Opposites attract?
2. She’s blind?
3. Mother/son
4. He’s a professional football player and she’s a groupie.
5. He’s a professional Sumo wrestler?
6. A brother and sister on vacation from their home in Appalachia?

Of course, all these assume that she wouldn’t be with him due to his size and her “hottiness”.  My crazy neighbor demonstrated an amazing degree of mental plasticity.  He came up with many reactions that were predicated on it being unusual for him to be with her, viz., Maybe she’s got a big heart, and that’s why he lovers her!  Maybe he has sympathy for her in that she is so size challenged.
