Anton graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in English Literature. He later pursued graduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, focusing on Hindu and Buddhist Yoga, Tantra, Philosophy and other Eastern Religious traditions.
Anton first began his studies in Astrology and Metaphysics shortly after graduating from UCSB in 1973. He then became co-owner of the original metaphysical bookstore in Santa Barbara, California, called, Starlight Books. During this time, he taught beginning and advanced astrology classes, in addition to maintaining a busy astrological counseling practice.
From 2005 until May 2009 he was the owner and managing editor of the publication, Wellness Times, in Bakersfield, California.
