This is a very interesting picture. It is very close to what you see when you awaken to the Chi Realms and are able to see what is there. Most representative is the trail of light. That’s pretty much what things look like, especially if there is a lot of “water chi”.

In the modern world, we often believe that we need fancy gyms, equipment, and all of it.  Look at these kids.  If the spirit is there, it will find a way to express itself.  This is one of the most beautiful pictures I’ve ever seen.  God bless these kids.

May I, with the gentle reader’s permission and indulgence, don the hat of “futurist” for a moment?

In the New Age crowd of the turn of the Century (20th Century, that is) many predicted that in the future, the human species would evolve into a transgender thing. You know, no men and women, but only one gender, which would include both sexes. This dream, if you will, never really went away (as it should have), but found a home with the post 70s feministas.

I ran into some of these curiosities in Chico, California, sometime about 1990. It was in a class in Religious Studies about gender and feminism. There were some in the class, including one of the men!, who thought that part of this evolution could be helped along by men donning dresses. In this regard, I would also refer my most gentle and intelligent reader to the book, The Televisionary Oracle, by Rob Brezsny. In this book, the main character undergoes the distinctly female initiation of first menstruation. This was part of his “evolution” as a man. Evidently, the women don’t need to evolve. They are already perfect. (Actually, I agree with this part of the theory!)

Anyway, I used to think all of this was largely baloney. But then, this morning, I came upon this lovely picture. I’m a convert, what about you? Come on, now, look at those eyes. Look at that punim. Evolution is so cool!

This must be (for a man) the most inspirational photo of all time. I found this picture on http://trompeteiro.blogspot.com/. I have no idea where he found it. I’ve thought a lot about this photo. Perhaps brother sister? Perhaps he’s very rich, she’s a prostitute? Perhaps she is actually a transvestite?

The purpose of 99Mind.com is to help anyone who happens by to examine their own mind, the nature of consciousness itself, which includes how we categorize and make judgments about what we call reality. That’s what makes this image so interesting, because it definitely hits a guy. It jars one’s sense of normal reality. Yes, it is silly. But this actually is quite serious. Why react in a given way to what this image portrays?

Another possibility is that the photographer simply set this up artificially, in other words, simply found a big guy, found a slim hotty in a thong, and convinced (or even paid) them to walk hand in hand away from the camera for the shot.

I brought my crazy next door neighbor in on this and we brainstormed some additional explanations:

1. Opposites attract?
2. She’s blind?
3. Mother/son
4. He’s a professional football player and she’s a groupie.
5. He’s a professional Sumo wrestler?
6. A brother and sister on vacation from their home in Appalachia?

Of course, all these assume that she wouldn’t be with him due to his size and her “hottiness”.  My crazy neighbor demonstrated an amazing degree of mental plasticity.  He came up with many reactions that were predicated on it being unusual for him to be with her, viz., Maybe she’s got a big heart, and that’s why he lovers her!  Maybe he has sympathy for her in that she is so size challenged.
Ideas, anyone?

This is why we love football in America.  Two guys, at the top of their form, giving it everything they’ve got.

The next time you read about a car bombing in Iraq, or any terrorist attack in which civilians have been killed, this is what it looks like. Is this how we “immanentize the eschaton?”

Just finished the book, Illuminatus Trilogy, so I’ll include this little Wikipedia clip: The phrase has been much used by Discordians. It is cited in the Principia Discordia, and is referred to fifteen times in The Illuminatus! Trilogy, the first of which is the first line of the novel, “It was the year when they finally immanentized the Eschaton.” The phrase was also used in the debut single (”All You Need Is Love“) by the Illuminatus!-inspired British band The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu: “With this killer virus who needs war? Immanentize the Eschaton, I said shag shag shag some more!”. The phrase furthermore occurs in the lyrics of The Shamen’s song ‘Destination Eschaton’: “So immanentise thy eschaton unto ragnarok or nemeton, and beyond in the name of Adam Kadmon“.

In India, you see these kinds of road-side markets all over, selling idols. Reminds me of Mexico, too, where you see similar type places. It’s unfortunate that in the USA we’re so hide-bound about God and all. God’s in church, but not in the home, not in the street.
